Dorian Theodore is the founder and visionary behind Di-Wear Adaptive Solutions LLC, an adaptive medical apparel company born from a deeply personal understanding of the challenges patients can face during ongoing medical treatment.
The inspiration for Di-Wear began when Dorian learned about the difficulties his sister experienced as a dialysis patient—particularly the challenge of staying comfortable and covered while healthcare professionals needed access for treatment. It was a problem that resonated far beyond one experience.
Dialysis had touched Dorian's family across generations. His mother, grandmother, and two uncles had also undergone dialysis treatments. Seeing so many loved ones experience the realities of treatment led him to ask a simple but important question:
Why should patients have to choose between medical access, comfort, and dignity?
That question became the foundation for Di-Wear.
Dorian envisioned clothing that could look and feel like regular apparel while giving healthcare professionals convenient access to areas of the body needed for treatment. From that idea grew the Di-Wear Adaptive Medical Access Garment System—apparel incorporating strategically placed adaptive openings designed to make medical access easier while helping patients remain comfortably dressed.
What began as a solution inspired by his own family has grown into a broader mission: developing adaptive patient wear, sweatsuits, scrubs, and other apparel for people receiving dialysis, rehabilitation, post-surgical care, long-term treatment, and other forms of medical care.
For Dorian, Di-Wear represents more than clothing. It represents the lessons learned from watching the people closest to him navigate treatment and the belief that thoughtful design can make a difficult experience a little easier.
His vision for Di-Wear is built around three principles:
